Westcliffe is a quaint little town at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We want to thank you for visiting the Town of Westcliffe website. You can find information on individual department pages or by contacting us. Individual employees may be reached using our staff directory.

Westcliffe, Colorado is to the east of the beautiful Sangre De Cristos (Spanish for “Blood of Christ”).  The elevation of Westcliffe is 7.888 and offers many wonderful views.  The town of Westcliffe has a population of 463, neighboring Silver Cliff has a population of 593, Custer County has a population of 3,937 which includes both Westcliffe, Silver Cliff and the unincorporated Custer County 2,881.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Town of Westcliffe is accepting donation requests from local non-profit organizations for the 2011 budget.  Special preference will be given to organizations that benefit youth and senior citizens.

  1. The request must be in writing on the Town of Westcliffe’s Request of Funds form
  2. Available at Benson Hall, 305 Main Street or click on DONATON REQUEST FORM.
  3. Please submit financial information (DETAILED BUDGET FOR 2011, PROFIT AND LOSS STATEMENT) for your organization along with the Request of Funds form. 
  4. Please specify how the funds will be budgeted by your organization, including what improvement, program and/or over all view of the anticipated project to be funded.   
  5. Include all other sources of funding requests your organization has applied for or received.
  6.  If you have received Town of Westcliffe funding in the past years, please include how that funding was spent.

If all pertinent information is not submitted it may affect consideration of your request.

The deadline for donation requests will be Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. Requests may be mailed to P.O. Box 406 or delivered to Benson Hall, 305 Main Street or faxed to 783-2943.  Requests received after this deadline may not be considered.

Please deliver nine copies of the completed donation request application to the Benson Hall, 305 Main Street during hours (Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.).   You may also mail it to Town of Westcliffe, P.O. Box 406 Westcliffe, CO. 81252

Driving Directions

Westcliffe, Colorado is at the intersection of State Highways 69 and 96: 50 miles west of Pueblo; 60 miles north of Walsenburg; 50 miles southwest of Canon City; and 175 miles southwest of Denver.
